Ellen Rathbone: I have been lucky in life to get paid to do what I love: being a naturalist. As long as I can remember, I've loved the outdoors and find it endlessly fascinating. There is rarely a day that goes by during which I can't learn something new about this planet and the life on it. Toby routinely patrols the property, keeping squirrels at bay and, at least in theory, driving off the deer.
